In the case where you are receiving more than one copy of an email message, two common causes exist:
1. Some users will set their mail client to check their mail every
minute. This causes problems when the next check begins before the last
one has ended. We recommend setting the check timer to be at least 10
minutes.
2. Outlook Express uses a file to keep track of which message have been
downloaded so that it can download only new messages. Sometimes this
file becomes corrupted which results in the same messages getting
downloaded again.
Close Outlook Express, locate the file pop3uidl.dbx and rename it.
Restart Outlook Express and check for new mail. A new, uncorrupted
pop3uidl.dbx will be created automatically.
